Pet Project: Goldy Locks looking for a home that’s just right

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Kansas Humane Society’s Director of Communications Jordan Bani-Younes brought Goldy Locks to visit Thursday during the Pet Project segment on KSN News at Noon.

Goldy Locks is just under two years old and weighs around 75 pounds. This is her second visit to the Kansas Humane Society; she came in as a stray transfer. Jordan says she’s a very sweet and chill dog who does well on car rides.

The Kansas Humane Society is hosting a free microchip and vaccine clinic on Saturday. The first 200 animals will receive free vaccinations and microchipping on a first-come, first-served basis. The clinic will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Orchard Recreation Center, 4808 W 9th St N, in Wichita .

The KHS is also hosting a “Read with Rover” event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., during which children in Grades 1st—5th are invited to read to therapy dogs provided by Love on a Leash . The 30-minute read times are designed to help improve children’s reading and communication skills.
