A 43-year-old Bakersfield man died around 3 a.m. Saturday after his car left the road and crashed on Highway 178 at Mile Marker 172, according to the Kern County coroner’s office. Albert Anthony Villa died at the scene of the crash from his injuries, according to the coroner.
