Multiple West Michigan Schools Including Jenison and Three Rivers Close Due to Online Threats

West Michigan has seen a flurry of school closures due to a series of online threats. The latest incident prompted Jenison Public Schools (JPS) and Three Rivers Community Schools to cancel classes today. JPS informed parents yesterday of the decision after questionable photos surfaced on Snapchat. According to a statement obtained by WZZM13, Superintendent Dr. Brandon Graham reported that the images seemed to be manipulated with “Jenison” text added. The district is collaborating with Michigan State Police and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office to understand the situation.
