The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a homicide investigation after the discovery of a woman’s body earlier this week near a Cave Creek roadway, as 26-year-old Victoria Hahlen has been identified. The investigation began near the intersection of 32nd Street and Cloud Road on Tuesday morning when a passerby reported finding the body just north of the crossing. Homicide detectives were summoned to the scene based on evidence found there, with authorities closing 32nd Street for almost 12 hours during the investigation, according to Arizona’s Family.
