The National Weather Service says there is a chance of rain through the weekend.
Cloudy skies and light rain showers will occur mainly southeast of Springfield today with cooler temperatures, it says.
Areas east of U.S. 65 may see a few showers with highs in the 70s.
A rain gauge in Houston showed .31 inches overnight.
