Police: 19 cars stolen by juveniles across Syracuse, surrounding towns in three-week span

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse Police Chief Joe Cecile confirmed to CNY Central that between August 22 and September 4, there have been 16 home burglaries. Specifically Chief Cecile says nine of them were on the city’s east side, and the rest occurred in the towns of DeWitt, Onondaga, Salina, and Geddes. More than half of the burglaries occurred in the city.
