BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – (KBAK/KBFX) – A local church is celebrating 100 years of service to the community. Bakersfield First Assembly of God started back in 1924 and is one of the oldest Assembly of God churches in the country. The church may be celebrating a big birthday, but to pastor Jacob Kennedy, Bakersfield is his new home. Kennedy has made the move over from Visalia to Bakersfield after pastoring at churches across the United States.
