A New Orleans nurse is being hailed a hero after rescuing a stranger trapped in Hurricane Francine flood waters on live television this week. Miles Crawford, an emergency room nurse at University Medical Center-LCMC Health, was off duty when Hurricane Francine made landfall in Louisiana as a Category 2 storm Wednesday evening. He told People that he was watching the storm from his porch when he received a text from his brother saying that there was a news crew at a canal near his home in Lakeview.
