Field Day for local landowners

High Meadows Farm in Tracy City recently hosted a fall field day for about 40 landowners interested in timber management. Dr. David Merker from UT-Knoxville was the featured field day speaker-topics covered included forest management plans, plan implementation, forest practices and cost share programs, timber selection, tree measuring basics and timber sale process. The field day was sponsored by UT Extension Service, Tennessee Division of Forestry, and Natural Resource Conservation Service.
