Staten Island man violently robbed by 4 people who knocked on his door at 4:30 a.m.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are investigating after a man was violently robbed by a group of four people who knocked on his door on Staten Island at 4:30 a.m. earlier this week, authorities said Friday.

It happened at approximately 4:35 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, a 33-year-old man was inside his residence in the vicinity of Wolkoff Lane and South Avenue in Graniteville when two women and two men began knocking on his door.

According to officials, when the victim opened the door, the group began punching him and striking him with an unknown object before entering the home and stealing a television from the residence.

The suspect then fled in a dark colored Nissan Rogue.
