Bridge, Line fires impact mail service in mountain communities, including Wrightwood

Road closures due to the Bridge and Line fires have prompted the temporary closure of several post offices, including Pinon Hills, Running Springs and Wrightwood.

The United States Postal Service announced that mail service for customers of those offices have been temporarily relocated.

Affected customers can pick up mail at the Phelan Post Office, 9782 Clovis Rd. Hours for pick-up are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.  USPS also announced that four other post offices had been temporarily closed due to the Line Fire.

Customers normally served by the Green Valley Lake and Running Springs post offices can temporarily pick up their mail at the Lake Arrowhead Post Office, 28150 Highway 189. Hours for pick-up are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Customers normally served by the Angelus Oaks and Forest Falls post offices can temporarily pick up their mail at the Mentone Post Office, 1842 Mentone Blvd. Hours for pick-up are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.  Customers affected by Bridge Fire evacuation orders and normally served by the Mt. Baldy Post Office may pick up their mail at the Upland Post Office, 333 E. Arrow Highway in Upland. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
