INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – The Independence Police Department made several arrests on Friday as a part of a DWI enforcement campaign. Starting around 6 p.m. on Sept. 13, 17 members of IPD began a Large-Scale DWI Saturation patrol. They chose major roadways east of Sterling Avenue for the high number of crashes and impaired driving arrests in those areas.
