Man shot in Southeast DC, MPD investigating

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man was shot in Southeast D.C. on Saturday afternoon.

Prince William County police investigating shooting, 1 in custody

MPD said that at about 3:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. for a shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot.

He was conscious and breathing.

MPD said officers were looking for two men wearing white tank tops and black pants. They were last seen at the 3100 block of Esther Place in Southeast.

The investigation is ongoing.
