ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Families of the Duke City were united in their fight against mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC).
Explora Science Museum hosted the free event in hopes of spreading awareness of this rare cancer and giving families relief from the ups and downs of a cancer diagnosis.

“CureMEC of New Mexico” said the research for childhood cancers, including MEC, is underfunded and always needs some help.
Food was on hand, along with live music and free family portraits, so everyone could enjoy without worrying about costs.
