Name Your Own Price Tool Sale is Coming Up on 9/21

It’s that time of year again. Well, the second time of the year. The NE Seattle Tool Library is holding their semi-annual tool sale on Saturday, September 21st from 9 am to 3 pm.

Get there early to find parking because even though there will be thousands of used tools for sale, this is a popular event.

The sale is much broader than the name suggests. You’ll find electric and hand tools, kitchen tools, building materials, bicycles, and outdoor gear, among many other things. And you really are welcome and even encouraged to name your own price for any tool you want.

The tool library is a program of Seattle REconomy, a nonprofit organization that promotes sustainability and the fostering of community. Members of the tool library can borrow tools year round for a multitude of projects, take classes and make use of the workshop. The tool library also includes a seed library. You don’t have to be a member to shop the tool sale.

This year, a new location was added Shoreline, where you can borrow tools and also purchase reclaimed building materials.
