Suspect ‘Intentionally’ Hit and Killed Pedestrian in Hesperia Early Saturday Morning

SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A man was arrested after police say he intentionally hit and killed a pedestrian in Hesperia and drove away from the scene.

San Bernardino County Sheriff Deputies from Hesperia Station said through witness statements and video, detectives determined the driver intentionally hit the victim before driving away into a nearby parking lot.

The police department said the crash happened on Saturday September 14, 2024 in the early morning. They responded to the intersections of Main Street and Cataba Road for a possible vehicle struck a pedestrian with hit and run.

Shortly after talking with witnesses, it was said that this was intentional and the man in the vehicle purposely hit the person in the roadway. They also said, the suspect ran over the pedestrian more than once.

They eventually arrested him and impounded the car in the nearby parking lot. He will be charged with murder, according to police.
