OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A warm and humid start to the day across the metro, just a few clouds hanging around for the morning meaning more sunshine on the way today compared to what we saw on Saturday. No layer of low clouds to deal with this time around. That means temperatures will be heating up a little quicker. We’ll go from the mid-60s around sunrise to the mid-70s by 10am. Temperature should already be warming into the 80s by the lunch hour, with afternoon highs in the upper 80s for the Omaha metro. It could get close to 90 for areas around Lincoln. With the humidity, heat index readings could approach 90 in the metro. Winds remain out of the southeast at 10 to 15mph, keeping the warm and humid air locked in.
