Coastal flooding is possible this week as we enter a full moon cycle. The full moon is Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 10:34 p.m. The King Tide is a higher-than-normal tide that can last up to multiple hours. Saltwater flooding is possible along the coast on low-lying roads and property because of the King Tide. King Tide flooding is also known as Sunny Day Flooding. King Tides happen during the fall months during full and new moons.
