Pleasant and dry Monday; next chance of welcomed rain looks to arrive later Tuesday

TONIGHT: Mainly clear and cool with some patchy fog again late. Low: 53. MONDAY NIGHT: Increasing clouds and not quite as cool as previous nights. Low: 59. Sunday was yet another day of refreshingly cool low temperatures to start in the 50s with perhaps a little fog followed by an abundance of sunshine and seasonably warm afternoon high temperatures in the low 80s. No doubt, it’s been a very pleasant pattern to enjoy over the past several days but we are to the point where even a little rain would be welcomed. At least through Monday, there is still no rain in the forecast. The pattern finally looks to change as early as Tuesday as we do have at least the “chance” of some rain in the forecast. Rain chances will creep up by Tuesday night and continue through Thursday before tapering off Friday. But the widespread measurable rain is not a slam dunk, as it depends whether the high pressure that is responsible for our extended stretch of sunny and dry weather allows a low pressure and some tropical moisture to sneak up the coast this coming week. If the high relents, we get some needed rain mid-week. If it’s stubborn and hangs tough, the rain may stay just to our south. Stay tuned, and enjoy the nice weather through Monday regardless!
