Weymouth man’s body pulled from lake over the weekend. What police know so far

BRISTOL, NEW HAMPSHIRE — The body of a man from East Weymouth was pulled from Newfound Lake in Bristol, NH on Sunday morning, police said.

A paddleboarder contacted New Hampshire State Police shortly after 11 a.m. on Sept. 15 to report a possible body in the water later identified as 77-year-old John Quinlan.

members of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department also responded. to the area, where they located and removed Quinlan’s body from the lake, According to a state police news release.

Newfound Lake is in the Lakes Region in the central part of the state.

Police said an autopsy was scheduled to be performed by the New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on Monday, Sept. 16.
