Monday will be the warmest day of the week, then temps cool by first official day of fall

Monday will be the warmest day this week across the Inland Northwest with daytime highs reaching the high 70s and low 80s. Skies will be partly sunny to kick off the work and school week, with early morning temperatures in the low 50s. There’s a chance of showers moving down south in the afternoon toward central Idaho and the southern part of the panhandle. Winds will pick up at times with gusts ranging mostly between 10-15 mph across eastern WA, up to 35 mph toward the Okanogan Valley and western Columbia Basin — be mindful of hazardous boating on the water!
