Firefighters Discover Deceased Person, 2 Dogs After Dousing House Fire in Glendora

GLENDORA, Calif., Sept. 16 (KNN) — Firefighters discovered an apparent crime scene, deceased dogs, and a person after extinguishing flames in a Glendora home early Monday morning.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Glendora police officers responded to a structure fire in the 700 block of Danecroft Avenue in Glendora shortly before 2:30 a.m.

Once firefighters and officers arrived, they located a one-story structure with heavy smoke and fire from the rear bedroom. Once inside the house, they found blood. Firefighters also discovered one victim in a back bedroom, along with two deceased dogs.

Firefighters and paramedics managed to pull the victim out of the house and pronounced the person deceased at the scene.

Glendora PD is taking over the scene. LACoFD had an arson team en route to assist in the investigation. The fire was knocked down within 30 to 45 minutes of receiving the call.

California Edison and the Gas Company arrived at the scene but could not access the house because police had established a crime scene.
