Interstate Bridge lanes to close overnight Monday for maintenance

PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — All northbound lanes of the Interstate Bridge are scheduled to close Monday night for maintenance work, according to ODOT.

The closures will be on a rolling basis beginning at 11 p.m., with all lanes expected to reopen at 5 a.m. Tuesday.

To avoid the closure, ODOT says drivers will be able to exit at Jantzen Beach.

While officials say the sidewalk on the bridge’s northbound span will also close overnight, the southbound sidewalk will remain open.

As a detour, ODOT suggests Washington-bound traffic take I-84 East to I-205 North across the Glenn Jackson Bridge over the Columbia River.
