COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) – As of October 10, Honor Flight Columbus will have flown 10,000 veterans to Washington D.C. for a trip of a lifetime. Honor Flight Columbus gives veterans a day to fly free of charge to the nation’s capital to visit memorials including Arlington National Cemetery, and to be honored by community members including school students. The flight day ends with a Welcome Home Celebration as they return to Columbus to recognize and honor those who served.
