GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The window for our coastal storm to become tropical has closed, but we’re still in for some nasty weather tonight & Tuesday. Coastal low pressure, formerly Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight, will continue to track inland toward the northwest tonight before settling over the region into Tuesday. A few sprinkles or light showers will be possible on the leading edge of the system early this evening, but the more significant rain will begin to roll in after 9:00 PM. Periods of heavy rain will spread inland to Greenville and Asheville by midnight, and then over the rest of the region by the Tuesday morning commute.
