Huntsville woman dies days after Birmingham crash

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — A Huntsville woman died days after being injured in a Birmingham crash.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 49-year-old Shonda Lavetta King was injured when the car she was riding in crashed on I-65 NB near 32nd Avenue on September 10. King was taken to UAB Hospital where she died from her injuries on September 14.

The Birmingham Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
