The combination of the last two weeks of very dry weather and the prospect of not much rain in the next two weeks will create a very dry situation. Most of Michigan hasn’t had much rain in the past two weeks. In the map below I go back for the last month’s worth of rainfall. The only decent rain was a widespread one to three inch rain around August 27 to August 29 in the southeast part of Lower Michigan, including the Ann Arbor area and the Detroit area.
