Salem Police said two people died Monday in a head-on crash involving two pickup trucks on Cordon Road SE.
The crash was reported about 10:09 a.m. on the 1100 block of the road, which is within the city limits.
A male adult and female adult in one of the pickups were found deceased when emergency personnel arrived, Salem Police said in news release. Their names were being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Three other adults were taken to Salem Health hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remained under investigation as of Monday evening.
