Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing Due to Pressurization Issue

A Delta Air Lines flight from Salt Lake City to Portland was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday after experiencing a pressurization problem. The incident resulted in at least 10 passengers requiring medical attention.

Paramedics met passengers at the gate and evaluated 10 individuals for injuries. All passengers were treated and released by medics, but some may have opted to seek further medical attention.

The issue occurred while the flight was at an altitude of 10,000 feet. Oxygen masks did not deploy, but the plane was unable to maintain pressurization above that level. The pilots declared an emergency and descended to a lower altitude.

The plane landed safely in Salt Lake City around 8:30 a.m. local time. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the incident.

Delta apologized for the inconvenience and stated that the flight crew followed proper procedures. The affected aircraft was taken out of service and returned to operation on Monday after the pressurization issue was resolved.
