The authorities have arrested music mogul Sean Diddy Combs. The music producer will be in custody pending an indictment that will soon be unveiled. Homeland Security Investigations picked up Combs on Monday night at the Park Hyatt Hotel on 57th Street. A source revealed that the rapper was arrested in Manhattan on Monday night at about 8:15 pm.
Sean Diddy Combs’ Upcoming Indictment
Diddy Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, claimed the music executive anticipated his arrest after a grand jury’s indictment. He moved to New York last week and has cooperated with the investigations. The indictment against the rapper was sealed at the time of his arrest. However, US attorney Damian Williams has stated that it is expected to be unsealed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Meanwhile, Agnifilo suggested that Diddy might be charged with racketeering and sex trafficking, per the New York Times.
Nevertheless, Combs’ attorneys have condemned the arrest, which they called “unjust.” Agnifilo expressed his disappointment with his client’s prosecution and insisted on Diddy’s innocence. “Sean “Diddy” Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal,” the attorney told CNN.
