Severe Weather Outbreak Possible Across Parts of Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, and Oklahoma

Heavy Showers & Thunderstorms Likely Across Southwest Florida & the Florida Keys

Good morning everyone. Parts of the Northeast are still enjoying some nice weather, but clouds have begun to invade the lower quadrant. That is thanks to our tropical system that came ashore in the Carolinas yesterday, bringing with it some embedded severe weather, heavy rain, and gusty winds.

We won’t see that here in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York, but we could see some scattered gusty showers tomorrow and Thursday before things slowly clear out Friday. What’s more important is that we have some fall air just in time for the arrival of fall itself. Look for temps to cool off into the low 70’s by Saturday, then 65-70 for Sunday and the start of your work week with some relatively crisp nights.

That tropical system which hit North Carolina & South Carolina yesterday, is bringing much needed rain to eastern Tennessee, Kentucky, and interior parts of Virginia. We also continue to see some heavier showers & storms along the North Carolina and Virginia coast. Those will be capable of locally strong winds, torrential rain, and frequent lightning.
