Gordy’s HWY 30 Music Fest Texas Edition Canceled After Backlash Surrounding Lineup

Gordy’s HWY 30 Music Fest started in Filer, Idaho and quickly became popular among country fans for its stacked lineups. For instance, this year’s Idaho lineup features acts like Jackson Dean, the Steel Woods, Morgan Wade, Treaty Oak Revival, and many more. The festival got so popular that organizers started running a second event in Texas with similar lineups. The first took place last year in Fort Worth and the second was planned for later this year. Now, that event has been canceled.

The inaugural Gordy’s HWY 30 Music Fest Texas Edition included acts like Zach Bryan, Cody Jinks, Koe Wetzel, Silverada, Muscadine Bloodline, and many more. This year, fans of independent country music, red dirt, and Texas country bought tickets as soon as they were available. Then, this year’s Texas festival lineup dropped.

Nelly, Vanilla Ice, Hinder, Color Me Badd, Tag Team, and DJ Kool were among the headliners. To be fair, there were acts in this year’s lineup that would have fit with the vibe of the festival. However, the strange choice of headliners left many fans unhappy.
