Residents in specific Dallas neighborhoods are looking at a scheduled mosquito control spraying to combat the presence of the West Nile Virus. According to the City of Dallas, areas within the boundaries of 7000 Walling Lane (75231), bordered by Skillman Street to the north, Abrams Road to the west, Goforth Road to the east, and Northwest Highway to the south, will be sprayed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Tuesday, September 17th to Wednesday, September 18th, weather permitting. This area corresponds to Council District 10. The Environmental Protection Agency has given the green light for the insecticide to be used, but it’s recommended that residents take care to not directly expose themselves to the spray.
