LAKELAND, Fla. – While the hospital was the first choice, a Polk County couple chose an unplanned birthing center that ended up being a good alternative. According to Polk County Sheriff’s Office’s social media posts, Micah and Diam were on their way to the hospital around 7 a.m. on Saturday so Diam could give birth to their child. However, the baby couldn’t wait, so Micah pulled into the parking lot at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Southwest District Office.
