Muir’s Ratings Dip After Debate

Additional Coverage:

ABC’s "World News Tonight" viewership has dropped since last week’s presidential debate. The network drew an average of 6.7 million viewers in the three days after the debate, down from 7.6 million before it.

Conservatives criticized the debate’s moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis, for fact-checking former President Trump five times but not Vice President Kamala Harris. Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America called out Davis for an "inaccurate" claim about abortion during a fact-check of Trump.

Trump himself slammed the debate as "one-sided," saying Harris should have been questioned more. Davis admitted her fact-checking of Trump was influenced by a previous debate where President Biden was not held accountable for his statements.

On Sunday, ABC’s Martha Raddatz noted that Harris was incorrect when she stated there were no US troops in active combat zones. However, Muir and Davis did not correct Harris during the debate, which drew nearly 70 million viewers.
