The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a one-of-a-kind event that should be on every travel bucket list. Held annually in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the 2024 Fiesta will occur from October 5–13, 2024. If you haven’t already made your plans, now is the time as this event draws a huge crowd from all over the country and even internationally.
Here’s everything you need to plan your trip to this spectacular event.
1. Getting There
- By Air: Fly into Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), just 10 minutes from the fiesta’s main venue.
- By Car: Albuquerque is easily accessible via I-25 and I-40 if you’re driving in from nearby states. Parking is available on-site, be aware that it can fill up fast, especially during popular sessions. This year the fiesta has made finding your car much easier! Each Parking lot has a QR Code assigned to it (as well as a color). When you are at your lot, scan the code and drop a pin to mark your location. When you are ready to return to your vehicle, bring up your map and it will give you directions back to where you parked!
