Three massage businesses in North Texas shut down for suspected human trafficking

Two massage businesses in Burleson have been shut down because the owners are suspected of human trafficking.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation followed up on complaints about Top A-Massage on Southwest Wilshire Boulevard, and Best Massage on NorthWest Hillery Street and are now ordering both to shut down for at least six months. The agency found information online about both places offering sexual services.

Investigators went to both places earlier this month – and found several things that led them to believe human trafficking was going on. At one establishment a consumer filed a complaint that women were wearing lingerie. At the other, video cameras feeding into each massage room were found as well as clothes and large amounts of food possibly belonging to alleged therapists.

In Garland , the owner of another massage parlor suspected of human trafficking has now agreed to close up shop permanently. On September 3rd, TDLR forced Sen Spa on Belt Line Road to shut down for six months after investigators found several indications of human trafficking there, including employees who were wearing sexually provocative clothing, as well as an abundance of condoms.
