GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Alachua County Public Works Department is informing residents that from September 23 to November 15, SW 41st Boulevard (Fred Bear) will be closed to through traffic. The closure will be in front of the newly opened HCA Florida Gainesville Emergency Facility. Those seeking medical assistance will still be able to access the hospital from either the Archer Road or Williston Road direction.
To access the businesses south of the hospital, the public will need to follow the detour signs to SW 41st Boulevard from Williston Road.
The closure is for road realignment around the hospital.
