KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Independence Police Department is investigating a shooting Tuesday evening that left one woman seriously injured.
The shooting was reported just after 5 p.m. in the area of E. 22nd Street and S. Maywood Avenue.
Police said the victim was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries where she is currently listed as stable.
