1 injured after reported shooting on RTD bus in downtown Denver

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Denver police are reportedly looking for an armed suspect who may have fired the weapon on a bus in the downtown area.

The Denver Police Department said offices were investigating reports of shots fired on a bus near 15th Street and Tremont Place, which is a few blocks from Civic Center Park.

Police reported on X that the suspect fled the area, and there have since been no further reports of shots fired in the area. The agency said at 5 p.m. that a victim had self-transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

The Regional Transportation District told FOX31 the incident happened on the 15L bus near the intersection of 15th Street and Court Place, which is one block southeast of the Tremont Place and 15th Street intersection.

Officers were searching the area for a suspect as of about 5 p.m. and are working to develop suspect information.
