ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Community members will soon have the chance to honor Dr. Alice Green , the longtime social justice advocate who passed away in August . The Center for Law and Justice is hosting a tribute at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29 at the Palace Theatre in Albany.
Doors open at 3 p.m. It will feature speakers, performances and videos celebrating her life and legacy. It is open to the public and free to attend.

Organizers hope to inspire others to follow in Dr. Green’s footsteps.
“This tribute is not the end of something, but in my opinion, it’s the continuation of her work,” Ta-Sean Murdock , Center for Law and Justice Dir. of Operations, said. “Because as we’ve mentioned before, the work at the Center for Law and Justice will continue the work here at the Alice Moore Black Arts and Cultural Center will continue, and all those things are a continuation of her life and legacy.”
