The Georgetown Morgue Haunted House Opens Friday

It isn’t even October yet but Halloween candy, costumes and decorations have been on store shelves for a while now, and people are gearing up for the spooky season. To kick it off, one of the most popular haunted houses in the region opens on Friday.

The Georgetown Morgue Haunted House in Seattle creaks its doors open at 7 pm on Friday and runs through November 2nd. It’s open Thursdays through Sundays during the month of October. Tickets are $35 and you can add on a trip through the dark maze for $8. And when they say dark, they mean dark. It’s pitch black, you go in with a group, and hopefully find your way out.

The haunted house is a popular attraction, so going early in the season is a good idea if you want to avoid long lines.

The Georgetown Morgue really does have a gruesome and haunting past and it truly was a morgue. In 1968, the entire staff of 9 people was murdered by cremation by 2 criminals who were never caught.
