Shelter-in-place lifted for neighborhood near Chatfield Reservoir

DENVER ( KDVR ) — A shelter-in-place has been lifted for a neighborhood near Chatfield Reservoir Wednesday morning after deputies served a high-risk warrant.

At 7 a.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office posted on X that West Chatfield Avenue was closed from South Garrison Street to South Iris Way in Ken Caryl, and a shelter-in-place was ordered for those living and working in the area.

The sheriff’s office said deputies were issuing what they called a “high-risk warrant” and placed the neighborhood on a shelter-in-place as a precaution.

At 7:30 a.m., deputies said the shelter-in-place order was lifted and the police activity was over. All roads were reopened.
