Magnolia’s Coffee & Soda Shop in Cantonment could get food-truck neighbors

A group of Pensacola-area developers are trying to create a food truck court alongside Magnolia’s Coffee & Soda Shop in Cantonment.

Their proposal to Escambia County seeks to add two food trucks to the existing 0.8-acre lot on the corner of Archer Road and State Road 95. If the project is approved, the lot will get picnic tables for outdoor seating and a new gravel road for motorists to use while navigating the area.

DKJ Real Properties LLC is the listed owner of the project in its documents filed with Escambia County and purchased the land of the proposed site in 2020 for $170,000.

The names of potential businesses for the Archer Food Truck Court proposal are not available yet. Developers declined to comment on the project.

DKJ Real Properties has been trying to develop the property for three years but began focusing on making a food truck court last year. Their initial proposal in October 2021 sought to build a retail center with eight units available for use.
