Ottawa Hills came in behind Chicago suburb Winnetka, Illinois, and ahead of Ridgewood, New Jersey, in the GOBankingRates ranking.
The village, population 4,782, has an average household median income of $254,428, a violent crime rate of zero per 1,000 people and a property crime rate of 8.72 per 1,000 people, according to data from the banking website. The average single-family home value is $408,529, and the cost of living is $50,452 per year.
