Police investigating midtown Tulsa burglaries

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department is investigating burglaries from midtown Tulsa businesses Monday morning.

Police say officers responded to a burglary alarm at Moody’s Jewelry near South Harvard Avenue and Route 66 at 3:37 a.m.

Officers found the Moody’s Jewelry had been vandalized, and the suspects had not entered the business.

While searching the area, officers found burglaries occurred at two nearby businesses.

Police said surveillance video showed three males armed with a hammer breaking in and vandalizing the businesses.

There were smashed windows and doors, and blood from the suspects, Tulsa Police said.

The blood was turned in for analysis. Police say stolen items from the businesses was found in the area.

Police have not identified a suspect yet. The University of Tulsa security was contacted and had surveillance video.
