Fire at former YMCA in Stockton raises 3rd alarm

(FOX40.COM) — A fire at a former YMCA building in Stockton has been raised to a 3rd alarm, according to the Stockton Fire Department.

The vacant building at the intersection of Park and Center Streets is under remodeling and is known to have unauthorized people inside the building.

As firefighters continue to battle back the flames they ask that the public avoid the area for the next several hours.

Nearby buildings include the Cesar Chaves Central Library and Stockton Community Services Department.
