‘It’s horrible’: Neighbors react to Forney man who led police on chase, died by suicide

Neighbors of a Forney man who led police on a chase from Richardson into Dallas on Monday before shooting himself are reacting after they learned he was wanted for questioning in a murder.

Police said Donald Ingram was wanted for questioning in connection to his wife’s murder, whose body was found in their home in Forney.

“Do you honestly who people are? Do you honestly know your neighbors? Or just what’s on the outside, the appearance,” one neighbor asked. “You never what’s going on within somebody’s home.”

“He seemed like a nice person,” another neighbor said. “It’s horrible.”

Before he shot himself, police said Ingram fired at officers and shot a woman in the car, who was injured but expected to survive. There were also three children in the car.
