Police departments across Texas collaborate to connect with Hispanic communities

GARLAND, Texas – Police departments from across Texas gathered to discuss their efforts in connecting with Hispanic communities through the Unidos Program. The Unidos Program, initiated in 2002 by the City of Garland, Texas Government, serves as a resource center for non-English speaking Hispanic residents, aiming to build trust and relationships to enhance community safety. The program has expanded to nearly 30 agencies statewide.
