Thornton police looking for driver who ‘deliberately’ struck pedestrian

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Thornton police are looking for a driver accused of “deliberately” driving into a pedestrian , according to officers.

On Sept. 13 at around 7:35 p.m., the Thornton Police Department said a pedestrian was walking in the 12600 block of York Street, west of East Lake Shores Park.

According to police, a driver sped past the pedestrian who shouted at the driver to slow down. The driver then turned around and “deliberately drove into the pedestrian,” police said.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries. Police have not provided an update on the victim’s condition.

Now, police are releasing photos of the suspected vehicle, which they described as an early 90s Honda Civic. The car has mismatched wheels and a red and white sticker on the rear window of the driver’s side.
